Better Frame — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Summary

Better Frame does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything happens on your device. There are no servers involved.

What Better Frame Accesses

Camera

The camera is used for the live preview and to capture photos. All processing happens on-device. Photos are never uploaded, stored remotely, or shared.

Photo Library

Better Frame uses Apple's system photo picker when you choose a reference photo. The app receives only the single image you select and uses it solely as the on-screen overlay. It does not read or browse your photo library. When saving captured photos, the app requests add-only access to write to your photo library.

Shared Images

If you share an image into the app from another app, it is written to the app's private on-device storage so it can be used as the overlay, then removed once imported.

On-Device Settings

Small preferences are stored on-device, such as whether onboarding hints were seen and how many watermark-free exports have been used. These are not linked to any identity.

Purchases

"Better Frame Premium" is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. Purchase status is provided and verified by Apple. We never receive payment details and store nothing on any server.

Data We Collect

None. Better Frame contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. There is no backend server.

Children's Privacy

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your Control

Camera and photo library permissions can be changed or revoked in Settings → Privacy & Security or Settings → Better Frame. Deleting the app removes all stored preferences and any temporary images.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this same address with a revised date.
